Art on 8th: A Chapter in Our Community History

With Dance Place and its partners, we shared free outdoor Cuban dance gatherings at the Monroe Street/Brookland Arts Walk. Art on 8th brought our community together for music and dancing, including gatherings on July 15, August 26 and September 30, 2016. These photographs celebrate that chapter of our local work.

Art on 8th is no longer a current DC Casineros offering. Join our continuing community work through Cuban Dance Socials at Glen Echo Park and our upcoming events.

In July 2016:

Join us Friday, July 15th from 6:30-7:30pm for a special evening of Rueda de Casino, a performance by DC Casineros, and social dancing. All free and all fun! It takes place outdoors at the Bus Boys and Poets Plaza 2 blocks away from the Brookland metro station. Come at 6:30pm for a free class with DC Casineros instructors! Bring the kids!
