Cuban Dance, Shared Across Communities
From our home in Washington, D.C., DC Casineros brings Casino, Rueda de Casino, Cuban Son and Afro-Cuban dance to stages, universities, festivals and community gatherings across the country. Our national work connects performance with participation: watch the dance, learn its rhythms, then join us on the floor.
This work grows from sustained exchange with Cuban artists and teachers. Explore the relationships in Cuba and beyond that shape our practice.

Selected Teaching and Performance Highlights
Indiana · 2016 and 2026
Ritmos Latinos Indiana welcomed Adrian Valdivia and Amanda Gill for its Workshop & Fiesta on April 9, 2016. A decade later, its April 11, 2026 Spring Workshop & Fiesta featured Paul Cassens, continuing a connection through the company’s teaching artists.
Ithaca, New York · April 2025
A weekend of learning and performance brought company artists to Ithaca. On April 26, DC Casineros guest-performed at Cornell University’s Primavera Pa’lante: Bailando en el Barrio showcase. Our workshop photograph above captures another part of that shared weekend.
Baltimore · World Dance Festival 2024
Company dancers presented Cuban Son at Baltimore’s World Dance Festival. The performance below shares the musicality, partner connection and stage expression we bring to our repertory.
New York · Baila New York
Recurring teaching, performance and exchange at Baila New York connect DC Casineros with a wider community of Cuban-dance artists and students. The festival’s artist roster includes the company in its Cuban dance program.
New Orleans · CubaSon
Adrian Valdivia supported Ramsés Sariol in organizing CubaSon Congress in New Orleans. This U.S. collaboration is part of a wider partnership that also includes Mexico and Spain.
More Communities, More Connections
The company’s historical artist biographies document teaching and performance in San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta and New York, alongside programs in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding region. These relationships have brought Cuban dance to audiences, fellow artists and new students over two decades.
